Program Honoured by City of Ottawa

Community Actisim Award- Group was bestwoed to The Birth and Parent Companion Program May 7th 2007 in honour of the tireless far reaching work of the many volunteers in this program. The award was accepted on behalf of the Program by Jim Devoe, Board President, Donna Mallet (Executive Director), Gillian Sippert (Program Manager) and Rachel Horsley (Program Manager) were in attendance. The field of nominees was so incredible, what great work is being done so selflessly in our Community and companions are an important part of that! Congratulations!

Birth Companions Honoured by the Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration

Congratulations to Janice Longchamps, Beverlee Mc Intosh and Charity Gowan who were all honoured May 24th as the recipients of the 5 year service award. Thank you for your support to this program, we couldn't do it with out long-term volunteers like you!

Social Enterprise Funding

Program receives funding for social enterprise endeavours from both the Community Economic Development Technical Assistance Program and the United Way, we are excited to help this program become more self sufficient and to offer labour support and prenatal services to moderate income families for whom the usual fees represent an obstacle, yet free services are not available.
