Birth Companions are trained by program staff to provide emotional, informational, and physical support and companionship to expectant mothers as they prepare for their babies, during labour and birth, and in the postpartum period.
Birth Companions are passionate about the support they give are on call to their matches 24/7.
Birth Companions attend prenatal classes and medical appointments, give prenatal education, provide community resource information, support breastfeeding and early baby care helping mom’s transition into their new roles.
